Is SNI for Motorcycle Oil Mandatory?
Yes. For lubricating oil types included within the scope of Minister of Industry Regulation No. 8 of 2025, SNI is mandatory. SNI 7069-2:2021 is one of the standards established for four-stroke gasoline engine lubricating oil for motorcycles.

The foreign manufacturer must also have an Official Representative in Indonesia. The representative must be appointed by the foreign manufacturer, have a license to use and be responsible for the lubricating oil brand, control a warehouse within the required area, and have an SIINas account.
